When I write in Spanish it feels like a movie; with its beginning, trying to make the idea clear; the middle, when the writing is constant; and the climax, when the final moment is approaching and setting the last point. I feel how the ideas came to my mind like a shower, knocking my head every time. It's something like a river, when my body lets itself to be taken by the flood.
Writing in English is like the sea tide; there are moments of calm trying to make the ideas clear, thinking in the words and sentence structure; and moments of agitation, when the ideas came up and are reflected on the paper.

I totally agree with you... Specially when you say what you feel when writing in Spanish... That analogy with the river is just perfect. Writing is a time where the mind lets itself to be taken by the flood...
ReplyDeleteI'd say it is the same when writing in English but unfortunately is different, in other language which is not your native one, the posibility of "drowning" is higher...
nice feelings... please don't forget the exercice was intented on comparing actions with your writing in the three or more languages you speak. Abt ur text I don't have any suggestions on formal aspects... well done... cheers.
